Donna Marie Irvin

January 1, 1950 - August 19, 2023

Donna M. Irvin, 73, of Winfield, passed away Saturday morning, August 19, 2023, at her son’s home.

Born January 1, 1950 in Wichita, she was the daughter of Lloyd Benjamin and Mary Elizabeth (Berry) Lively.  Donna was raised and received her education in Winfield, graduating from Winfield High School in 1968.  Following high school, Donna earned her CNA and began working in the medical field including at William Newton Hospital and later, Winfield Rest Haven.

Donna was united in marriage to Donnie Wayne Irvin on November 16, 1971.  To this union, one son was born.  The couple later divorced.

She enjoyed watching old western movies, specifically ones starring John Wayne.  Donna also liked shopping at thrift stores.  She collected all sorts of items, including dolls.  Donna especially loved visiting the Humane Society to love on the animals.

Her family includes her son Mark Irvin and wife, Dena of Winfield; her grandchildren, Brayden Irvin; Alyssa Davis and husband, Tyler; Colin Pedersen; and Seth Hull, all of Winfield; her five great-grandchildren; and her brother Howard Berry. 

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by a brother Calvin Berry.

No services are scheduled at this time.  Arrangements are under the direction of Miles Funeral Service in Winfield.

A memorial has been established in Donna’s name for the Cowley County Humane Society.  Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
