Nelson Mark Dutton 
(December 3, 1949 - February 28, 2014) 

NELSON MARK DUTTON, 64, of Winfield, Kansas passed away Friday evening, February 28, 2014 at his home.

Born on December 3, 1949 in Alva, Oklahoma, he was the son of Nelson Wayne and Bonnie (Russell) Dutton. He was raised in Alva and later Winfield and graduated from Winfield High School in 1967. He attended Cowley County Community College in Arkansas City. Mark also graduated from Emporia State College.

In the early 1970’s he began employment at the Winfield State Hospital and Training Center where he was a licensed mental health technician retiring in 1997. He was united in marriage to Ramona Hatch on July 25, 1975 and the couple later divorced. Mark enjoyed fishing and camping,

His family includes: His sons: Donnie Dutton and wife Jessica of Winfield, KS; and David Dutton of Winfield, KS; His daughter: Faith Wells and husband Eric of Wichita, KS; His mother: Bonnie Glasgow of Hopewell, IL; His brother: Kevin Dutton and wife Jenifer of E. Peoria, IL; His granddaughter: Katelyn Dutton; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Nelson, his brother, David A. Dutton, and his sister, Bonita Sue Wallace.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, March 10, 2014 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield.

A memorial has been established in Mark’s name for the Mental Health Association of South Central Kansas, 555 N. Woodlawn, Ste 3105, Wichita, KIS 67208. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
