I have many long-time memories of Janet, like reading "Old Mother West Wind" together and watching the "Flintstones" at her house, and getting separated before our 5th grade school year started for talking too much (and probably causing trouble) in our earlier, shared grade school classes at Stephenson.  We spent many happy hours together in those early, formative years (exploring the neighborhood around College Street and hiking around Southwestern, and going to the little neighborhood grocery store on 8th street)  Although she may be gone, whe will never be forgotten.  My deepest sympathy to her family.

I can't remember a time when Janet didn't have a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eyes. She was just that kind of person. She willl be missed by many.

In addition to all the attributes mentioned by others, Janet was an extraordinary student. She established very high academic standards for the rest of us and by doing that, she made us all better students. She was a remarkable person in many ways.

So enjoyed our freindship through Jr and Sr. High School. She always had a smile on her face, and she had a great sense of humor! She made me laugh!  I was just re-reading some of our fun messages on Facebook.........she was a delightful person............blessings to her family.  Janie Ayers Parr

So sad to hear of Janet's passing.  Far too young to leave ... but not forgotten.  My heart goes out to her family and their loss.

I am so sorry to hear of Janet's passing and for her family lose  she was a very special and wonderful person.  My first time I met Janet was in the grade school city track meet 5th or 6th grade we ran the 100 yard meter dash, what a fast runner she was...we were actually nose to nose, hair to hair length of each other what a close run that was.  Her life's run is now over in this world but she has won the greatest race of all to be with her Heavenly Father.  She shall be missed!

How very sad that her little grandaughter preceded her in death and that she had to confront and endure that loss while battling her own illness.  My condolences and prayers to her family.
