Bobbie Rush (Lind)

Bobbie Jean Lind, 60, of Arkansas City passed on peacefully at her home April 17, 2010. Private graveside services will be conducted at Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

 
She was born November 21, 1949, in Elkhart, Ks to Norman D and Mary Katherine Rush. She graduated from Winfield Senior High and Cowley County Community College and took business training at St John's in Winfield, KS. She was employed for a number of years at the Winfield Public Library.
 

She married Daniel D Lind June 17, 1978 in Arkansas city and they shared their lives together for 27 years. They made their home in Arkansas City where she was a homemaker and Daniel taught art in the elementary schools for more than three decades.
 

She enjoyed her family, pets, flowers, and living in their country home. She was a quiet, gentle lady with only kinds words for all who knew her. She will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends. Bobbie was devoted to God, and Christ Jesus, and was a life long member of the First Church of Christ Scientist. Bobbie was also a member of the Creek Nation.
 

She is survived by her son, Ethan Daniel Lind of Arkansas City, one sister Billie Katherine Light and husband Dan Light of Girard, Kansas and one brother-in-law, Colonel George M "Mike" Lind and his wife Sharon of Arkansas City, as well as numerous nephews and neices. She was proceeded in death by her loving husband Daniel D Lind, and her parents.
