Charles Greenwell
TUCSON, Ariz. — Charles E. Greenwell, 56, died Jan. 31, 2006, in Tucson, due to probable hypothermia.

Burial was March 8 at All Faiths Memorial Park in Tucson. Desert Rose Cremation and Burial Service was in charge of arrangements.

Charles was born in Winfield on Jan. 5, 1950, to Richard H. and Isabel Greenwell. He graduated from Winfield High School in 1968 and enlisted in the Navy soon after graduation. He served honorably on the East Coast in fighter squadron VF 74 and aboard the aircraft carrier USS Forrestal CVA 59.

After his discharge, Charles returned to Winfield for a short time but soon moved to Tucson where he worked in the copper mines. When most of the mines were forced to close due to low ore prices, Charles returned to Winfield.

Charles met and married Donna Boots, and they remained in Winfield for a few years, but the mild winter weather of Tucson finally called them back. They had resided in Tucson for the past 20 years. Charles earned his living as a welder creating decorative iron works for homes in the area.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Greenwell, of the home; two sons, Cory Greenwell and Chad Greenwell, both of Tucson; his mother, Isabel Greenwell, Washington; a brother, Jerry Greenwell and his wife, Donna, Washington; several nieces and nephews of Washington; and an aunt and uncle, Ernest and Robinette Greenwell, Winfield.

Can't believe he is gone, rides on the back of his motorcycle were always fun.  A great guy to know.

I agree.  He is always alive in my memories; and forever young.
